Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)

Katie was born on October 17, 1986, and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 26, 2018.  Katie was fiercely passionate in all she said and did.  She fiercely loved Jesus Christ above all else.  She fiercely loved her husband and kids.  She fiercely took a stand for the ways of God, not the ways of the world.  She fiercely loved her family and friends.  Even when given a path to walk that no one would ever, ever choose, she trusted God and His promises, and continued to the end to give Him all the glory.

Katie is survived by her soul mate and one true love, Matt, and her precious children, Brooklynn and Blake; her parents, Ron and Mary Coulter, her older sister Sarah and husband James; many aunts, uncles, and cousins and extended family; and by Matt's large family, who loved Katie like one of their own.  Katie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mildred Coulter; her maternal grandparents, Marion and Mildred Maaks, and her Uncle Jim Maaks.

Katie would want us to ask those of you reading this: Do you know where you will be spending eternity?  Jesus Christ IS The Way, The Truth, and The Life.  No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6) We know where our Katie is right now, and we know that we will be with her in paradise for eternity.  What a comfort that is!  What a promise that is!

Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).  Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"—and that he had said these things to her.
John 20:15-18 (ESV)

We are heartbroken and deeply mourning Katie's passing, but Jesus asks "why are you weeping" because He took the burden of our sins, died on a cross, rose from the grave, and because of His mercy and grace, Katie is there, right now and forever, with Him.  Katie Brady, we love you!  See you soon!  To God Be The Glory!
