Kathy L. Stalnaker was born April 2, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Mack Jr., and Marge (Calvird) Stalnaker, and was delivered into the arms of Jesus on January 26, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri.

Kathy graduated from Willard High School in Willard, Missouri in 1972.  Kathy spent many years as a retail manager, responsible for opening and managing several Heathers stores in the United States.  She also managed The Cutting Room in Republic, Missouri.  Most recently, she answered phone calls after-hours for three area funeral homes.

Kathy loved her family very much.  She had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh, and revisit family memories.  Kathy also loved animals very much, especially Cocker Spaniels.  She had many pets over the years that were part of her family. At one time she owned two bottle-fed calves who she kept until they were grown.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Jeff Stalnaker, who has been her caretaker and best friend for many years, her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Stalnaker, niece, Tammy Stalnaker, cousins, Harry Wayne Stalnaker, Nancy Sloss, and Deanna Harber.  She also leaves behind many friends.  Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Marge Stalnaker, father, Mack Stalnaker Jr., brother, Jim Stalnaker, brother, Michael Stalnaker, sister-in-law, Carolyn Stalnaker, Aunt, Jo Beth Spalding, Uncle Harry R. Stalnaker and many other family members.

Per Kathy's wishes, no public service will be held.  She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
