Lukavich
March 9, 1948 – December 16, 2020
Kathryn M. Lukavich, 72, of Springfield MO, went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020.
Kathy was born on March 9, 1948 in South Bend, IN, the eldest daughter to Arthur and Betty Stickley, and sister to William "Bill" Stickley. Growing up she was involved in church activities with her mother, participated in 4-H, dance recitals and enjoyed theater. In 1970, Kathy married her husband of 50 years, Gerald "Jerry" Lukavich, living in Mishawaka, IN, Van Wert, OH and Manitowac, WI, before settling in Springfield, MO. In their formative years, she raised three children, Dawn, Jennifer and Andy, and in later years, she worked for Immaculate Conception Parish from 1987-1997 before moving on to work for the Commerce Bank Trust Department from 1997-2010 when she retired.
Kathy and Jerry loved to travel together and spent many vacations traveling in Europe and the United States. However, Kathy's favorite vacation destination was Maui, HI, her happy place, sitting on the lanai or on the beach.
Kathy came from humble roots and never forgot where she came from lending to her compassionate nature. She was a devout Christian, loving wife and mother, and a natural born nurturer.
Kathy is survived by her husband Jerry, daughter Dawn (Matthew), daughter Jennifer (Mike), son Andy (Nikki), six grandchildren, her brother Bill (Pat), and several nieces and nephews.
