IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathryn Elaine
Kobbermann
November 30, 1976 – July 19, 2025
Kathryn "Katie" "Kate" Elaine Kobbermann, 48 of Springfield passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 with her mom by her side along with Blaine and Jeanne.
The world was a much brighter place with Kathryn in it. She touched countless lives with her warmth, her kindness, and that unforgettable smile she was always ready to share. Her heart was as vast and deep as the ocean-endlessly giving, fiercely loving and quietly courageous.
Katie was born November 30, 1976 in Springfield to Kobby Joseph and Roseann Elizabeth (Brown) Kobbermann. She attended Disney Elementary, Cherokee Junior High School and graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1995. Katie graduated from Drury University while there she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She attended Forest Institute of Psychology and was regularly inducted in the Psi Chi National Honor Society of Psychology. She earned certificates of Pain Management in 2006 and Mediation Training in 2009. She later received her Masters Degree in Psychology.
Behind her beautiful eyes, Kate carried a world of pain few ever truly knew. Yet she faced each day with strength and grace, never letting it dim the light she offered to those around her.
Today, we believe she is reunited with the ones we love who went before her, held close in their arms, free from the burdens she carried for so long. She is brand new now-whole, healed and at peace.
Kate was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Grace Kobbermann, Dorsa "D.E." and Mathilda "Tita" Brown; uncle, Thomas Kobbermann and her dad, Dr. Kobby Kobbermann.
Katie is survived by her mom and best friend, Rosie Kobberman; her loving sister, Kelli Kobbermann Rowett; her brother, Scott Kobberman and wife, Robin; her partner and companion, Blaine Martin and his mom, Jeanne Ronayne; nieces and nephew, Karli and Jack Rowett, and Haydyn and Riley Kobbermann; aunts and uncles, Doug Brown, Bobbie Kobbermann and Debbie Wiles; cousins, Cory and Jacob Brown, Hannah Brown Wasserman, Morgan Wiles Rollins, Dr. Sarah Henry and Dr. Anne Kobbermann and their families along with many, many friends near and far.
Save us a seat, Katie. We'll see you again. Until then, rest well, little sister. You've fought longer and harder than anyone we've ever known. We love you so deeply, and we miss you more than words.
Celebration of Kate's life will be Friday, August 1, 2025 with a service at 3:00 pm at Hickory Hills Country Club followed by a reception also at Hickory Hills until 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Drury University, Atten: University Advancement, 900 N. Benton Avenue, Springfield, Missouri 65802 Memo: Kate Kobbermann Scholarship Fund.
