Katherine Taylor, 96 of Springfield, MO passed away at 9:50 a.m., July 9, 2024. She was born the daughter of Andrew and Matilda Szegedin in Cresbard, South Dakota.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 52 years. She raised her three children in Springfield. Kathy worked as a medical secretary at Smith-Glynn-Calloway Clinic. Her hobbies were crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Katherine is preceded in death by her father Andrew, mother Matilda, brother Andrew, and sisters Lois, Chris, Magdalene, and Eunice. She is survived by her husband Burney of Springfield, MO; daughter Jean Taylor of Nixa, MO and Rebecca Taylor of Matthews, N.C.; son Jim Taylor and wife Eydie of Kimberling City, MO; grandchildren Sean Franson and wife Gayle of Portland, OR, Justin Burton and wife Jamie of Concord, NC, Matthew Burton and wife Amy of Fort Mill, SC, Patrick Burton and wife Brittany of Winter Park, FL, Lauren (Taylor) and husband Chris Roberts of Springdale, AR, Amy (Taylor) and husband Austin Vincent of Woodland Hills, CA, Adam Taylor of Houston, TX and Rachel Taylor of Springdale, AR; great-grandchildren Mila, Alena, Eliza, Aubrey, Isaac, Owen, and Lilah.
