Katherine "Kat" Ann Harp, 50 of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in Springfield with her daughters, Kara, Kasey, and their significant others by her side. Kat fought a hard battle with cancer and drifted peacefully into rest at sunset.
She was born on September 21 st , 1971, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to William and Margaret Pratt. She attended Webster City High School where she was a varsity athlete and helped lead the Webster City softball team to the 1988 state championship.
Kat enjoyed spending time with her daughters, family, and friends. She loved live music, making people laugh, and proving she could do things that others said she couldn't. Most would say she spent a majority of her time smiling and laughing. She is well known across Springfield for her patronage and passion for serving others at various bars and restaurants. She knew no stranger and enjoyed making others feel welcome and cared for. She was compassionate, kind, and loving.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Pratt.
Kat is survived by her daughters, Kara Brower, and Kasey Brower, siblings, Ana Willoughby and husband Bill Willoughby, Joseph Pratt, William Pratt, Susan Pratt, Emily Pruis and daughter Ella Pruis, and countless other friends and family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
