Karen Sue Brooks Tucker 71, of Springfield Missouri passed away December 18, 2017.  She was born in Monmouth, Illinois to Reverend Kenneth Brooks and Virginia Carver Brooks on January 14th 1946.  She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her son Daniel Tucker.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years Joel Tucker of Springfield, her sister and brother-in law Sandy and Richard Savage of Bloomington, IL, son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Lori Fegley of Nixa, son and daughter-in-law Zak and Jani Tucker of Lebanon, daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Justin Cook of Springfield, daughters Debra Tucker of Decatur, IL and Pamela Tucker of Staunton, IL.  She survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.

Karen graduated from Robinson High School in Robinson, IL and was a member of the class of 1964.  She attended Illinois State University after high school.  Karen married her soul mate, Joel Tucker in 1970 and they made their home in Missouri in 1980.  Karen was a long time manager of "Gyros and More" and a former long term employee of Walmart.  Since retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  You could always find her enjoying the Ozarks beautiful scenery or listening to Big Smith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 1 p.m. services will follow at 2 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
