Karen "Lyn" Parrish, 59, died Saturday September 26, 2009 at home in Fordland, MO. She was born on September 5, 1950 in Springfield, MO to Garland and Jane Parrish. She attended Reed Springs High School and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Lyn never met a stranger and has many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was generous to a fault. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death are her father Garland Parrish and sister Pam Widelock. Survivors include her mother Jane Parrish of Willard, MO; her long time friend and companion Linda Murphy of Fordland, MO; 2 daughters Cassandra Parrish and Justin Bucher of Nevada, MO; and Tammy Palfreyman and husband Scott and two grandchildren Ally and Cody of Summerville, SC; a brother Patrick and his wife Liz of Springfield, MO; her nieces and nephew, Tracy Sturkie and husband Dan of Willard, Angie Kennedy and Lee Bushong of Jackson Hole, WY; Joe Widelock and wife Bille of Springfield, MO; Courtney Widelock of Willard, MO; friends of her extended family include Colleen Murphy, Slone Kane, Sean, Lori, and Destiny Murphy. Memorial Mass will be held at 3 PM Thursday, October 1, 2009 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Reverend Denis Daugherty celebrant under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A reception will follow the Memorial Mass at 4:15 PM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Elementary School.
