Karen Elizabeth Ollis, beloved wife, mother and Gram K passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023. She was born November 19, 1947 in Oakland California and grew up in California and Oregon.

She moved to Urich, Missouri in 1969 where she was active in the local community and had many close and loving friends and family. In 1980 she moved to Springfield, Missouri, after her marriage to Ronald A. Ollis. Throughout her life she was completely committed to family and enjoyed her many travels with Ron and her friends. Her passions were skiing, yoga, and music, all with a keen sense of style.

Karen was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hickory Hills Country Club and Junior League of Springfield. Karen was dedicated to the Kids on the Block Puppet Troupe while volunteering with the Junior League. It was designed to teach children a better understanding of individuals with disabilities, a program that was quite innovative in the 1980s.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Louie and Darryl Fusaro and her beloved sister Karol Fusaro.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband Ronald A. Ollis, her brother David Fusaro (Cindy) and by her children, Kelley L. (Erwin) Davidson (Philip) and Eric E. Erwin, her step-children Richard A. Ollis (Teresa) and Laura Hadley (Jim), grandchildren Cole and Grant (Davidson), Alexis and Erica (Erwin), Kelsey and Sabrina (Ollis) and Megan and Claire (Dibble), and great grandchildren Raya and Paul Jr.

Karen enjoyed life to the fullest with a smile and a wonderful laugh all while challenged with Huntington's Disease.

Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, Missouri on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

A private Episcopal funeral service will be held at a later date. Karen will be buried in Maple Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. John's Episcopal Endowment Fund.
