Imogene "June" Johnson, age 76, of Springfield MO passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022.
June was born on April 10, 1946, in Fayetteville AR, the daughter of Leo Perry and Imogene (Little) Perry. June graduated from Rogers High School in Rogers, Arkansas in 1964. She assisted the art teacher her senior year helping teach the art class. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and drawing.
On February 14, 1987, she married Mark Johnson. She and Mark loved traveling in their RV and enjoying the beauty of the country.
June was a Senior CAD operator at Kawneer in northwest Arkansas for many years, before retiring. She loved animals, especially her sweet rescue dog "Lady Bird". She was also a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast.
June is survived by her husband of 35 years Mark; two sons James Cook and wife Rebecca and Durward Cook and wife Kelly; a brother Bob Perry and wife Donna; a stepbrother Tom McCarley and wife Kay; a stepsister Linda Brown and husband Carl; sister-in-law Doris Perry; grandchildren Haley, Hanna, and Dylan Cook; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo Perry and Imogene (Little) Perry McCarley and her brother, Louis "Jim" Perry.
A graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield MO at 11:00am on Monday, November 28, 2022, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
