June Carter, 86, passed away July 23, 2016 in Brandenburg, Kentucky. Born in Springfield on April 20, 1930, she was the daughter of Lee and Helen Londagin.

June brought laughter and joy to her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her sense of fashion, joy for social gatherings including bridge groups, love for her friends and family, passion for relaxing in her back yard on a sunny day, and most importantly her loving devotion to her husband, Lt. Colonel Swede Carter of 67 years. Their marriage is an inspiration for generations to come.

June was preceded in death by her parents and her only daughter, Linda Sue Carter.

June is survived by her husband Swede, eldest son Jack, his wife Cindi, and their three children Molly, Hannah, and Sam, as well as her youngest son Gary, his wife Debbie, and their four sons Nicholas, Brian, Keith, and Zachary.

A celebration of June's life will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on August 13, 2016 at 3:00 pm. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
