Judith Ann Kirby, Springfield, MO, passed away on January 6, 2013. She was born on July 13, 1947, to Kenton Erverand Kirby and Anna Lee Neil. She attained the rank of Major in the United States Army. Judith was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark Stephan Kirby. Judith was a hobby breeder of cockatiels, conures and quaker parrots. She was also a member of Pet Therapy of the Ozarks, often seen with her "Professor Elliott" at functions on behalf of the group. She came to be known as the "MO Bird Lady". Friends are invited to go by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home to sign her guest register at their convenience. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 9:00am Monday, January 14, 2013 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield.
