October 3, 1942 – January 13, 2024

Judy Robertson, 81, was born in Evanston, IL on October 3, 1942 and passed away surrounded by family in Springfield, MO on Saturday, January 13, 2024 after a sudden illness.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rex Robertson; her father and mother, Vaughn and Betty McIllece; her brother, Rick McIllece; and her granddaughter, Adrienne Martin.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Christine Trampler of Republic, MO; her daughter, Denise Buckley and husband Frank of Springfield, MO; her grandchildren: Dr. Desire' Buckley of Stillwater, OK; Rachel Carmichael and husband John of Tulsa, OK; Jordan Buckley and Bianca Guevara of Springfield, MO; Tori Jones and husband, Ryan of Columbia, MO; Aubrey Buckley and James Grubbs of Springfield, MO; Aaliyah Buckley and Ricky Contreras of Bolivar, MO; Noah Buckley and Megan White of Springfield, MO and Gabrielle Tate and husband, Harrison of Republic, MO.  Judy was also blessed with 6 great grandchildren: Blake Martin and Hailey Prater of Kansas City, MO; Kinley Callaway of Stillwater, TX; Everleigh Contreras of Bolivar, MO, twins Avayah and Avyanah Pettus of Stillwater, TX, and the newest blessing, Mila Buckley of Springfield, MO.  Judy is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Stiefvater and her husband, Jim of St. Nazianz, WI; sister-in-law, Mary McIllece of Huntley, IL; sister-in-law, Lois Lowe of S. Yarmouth, MA; and brother-in-law, Bob Robertson and wife, Marilyn of Needham, MA.  Judy also met so many great friends throughout the years and she cherished her time with each one of them.

Judy and Rex married in Needham, MA on February 26, 1960.  They settled in Bellingham, MA and raised their 2 daughters until they moved to Chesterfield, NH in 1977 and then finally moved to Springfield, MO in 1979.  Judy and Rex celebrated 60 years of marriage before Rex died in 2020.

Judy was an RN and worked in SICU and then Dialysis until her retirement.  She loved nursing and took care of countless patients throughout her career.  Judy also loved to travel and visited Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Russia, Europe, Canada, Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal.  Judy worked hard, was blessed with a wonderful life, and made so many incredible memories.  Her family's hearts are broken, and she will be dearly missed.

The family would especially like to thank Terrace Hospice for their great care and compassion in the weeks leading up to Judy's death.

A graveside service will be held for the immediate family at Hazelwood Cemetery at a later date.
