IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith "Judy"
Joy Hooper
October 30, 1943 – March 27, 2016
Judith Joy "Judy" Hooper, 72, Kimberling City, went home to be with Jesus with family at her side on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Mercy. She was born October 30, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Otto B. and Eula P. (Davis) Braun.
Judy's greatest joy was the love and personal relationship she had with Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was selfless and always put everyone's needs before her own. Some of her fondest memories were of family trips to the beach and having her kids and grandkids over for sleepovers at Camp Hooper. She truly had a gift for making everyone feel special. She was a mighty prayer warrior and will be greatly missed. This is not goodbye…see you later!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Hooper; a son, Mark Allen Hooper; two daughters and their husbands, Cristy Louise Hooper and Bob Westfall and Lesli Ann Hooper and Marc Gilmore; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Mercy Hospice.
