She was born in Canton, MO June 11, 1925 to M. Fred and Mildred Haney Burrows. She was reunited with her husband in Heaven on November 7, 2017. She attended Canton High School, then obtained a degree at Culver-Stockton College with a double major in Economics and Sociology including a minor in French. She was active in Chi Omega Sorority.
Judith married Lloyd E Anderson June 5, 1949 in Canton Missouri at the First Christian Church.
Although, she was a homemaker most of her life, during WWII she worked in the Burlington, Iowa Ordinance Family Facility producing mortar shells. She then worked in the Columbia Missouri Public School system. Judy was a charter member of P.E.O. Chapter KT, joining in 1976, in Springfield Missouri.
She and Lloyd traveled throughout the US in their RV wintering many years in Arizona, and making dear friends. She was a devout member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, devoting many hours to the Chancel Choir, and helping in other areas of church life as needed, including serving as an elder.
She was a member of Mid-America Singers. She and Lloyd were former members of Twin Oaks Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Anderson, and her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Bill Schleiffarth of Kimberling City.
She is survived by two sons, David and wife, Kathy of Lincoln, NE and Douglas of Springfield, MO; grandsons, Matthew of Rogers, Arkansas and Michael and wife, Maggie of Ozark, MO; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Martinez and her husband, Jeff Stadler and their daughter, Vieve; sister-in-law, Shirley Miller of St. Louis; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services with a reception to follow will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm in First and Calvary Presbyterian Church under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to P.E.O. Chapter KT, care of Suze Powell, 1234 E. Loren, Springfield, Missouri 65804.
