Juanita Kroutil, 91, of Nixa, MO passed away January 18, 2024. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Kansas to Phil and Millie Urban.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nixa.

The pride and joy of Juanita's life was her family. So many special memories were made with her celebrating with family members at family events.

Juanita worked many years at St. Agnes Cathedral as a cook. At age 46, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming an LPN, working many years on 6 West at St. John's Hospital.

After retirement, she enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions, vacations with family members and lots of time spent at Table Rock Lake.

Juanita brought a ray of sunshine to everyone she met and never knew a stranger. In heaven, she will be looking for family, friends, and animals, unless she encounters a garage sale sign first.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Kroutil; son, Phillip Kroutil and sisters, Sister Mary Kristin, RSM and Rita Highley.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Mary (David) Burns of Branson West, MO; daughter-in-law, Carol Kroutil of Springfield; daughter, Janet (Clif) Carnahan of Nixa; daughter, Jeanine (Bruce) Bratcher of Nixa, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 26 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Bolivar, MO.
