Joyce Marie Harmon, age 83 of Springfield, Missouri entered into the presence of her Lord at home with her children at her side, on March 24, 2025. She was born on May 6, 1941 to Lloyd Francis and Alice Marie Dunn in Diamond Springs, California.

She married Clell Francis Harmon, February 25, 1967 in Visalia, California. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a lifelong business owner and co-founder of Midwest Pool & Spa, with her husband and sons, George and Darrin. Along with her husband, they owned many different antique and collectible stores. Joyce loved playing Texas Hold'em with her husband; son, Darrin and many friends. She was an avid reader, especially of good mystery novels and enjoyed watching crime drama series. She enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales looking for a good bargain, which she always found. The importance of family was evident in the hours and years she devoted to finding and connecting the family tree. She loved spending time with family, seeing pictures and getting updates of her grandchildren. All who held a special place in her heart.

She enjoyed traveling, spending time in Maine and visiting the Morro Bay area (California) while also touring wineries along the way. She was able to cross off many "Bucket List" places such as Holland, Scotland, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, Florida Keys and the Panama Canal.

She is survived by sons, Darrin Downing, Clell A. Harmon (Helen); Tim Harmon (Tammy); daughters, Lisa Burns; Gaitha Downing (daughter-in-law) all from Springfield, Missouri; Christine Davis (David) of Maine; grandchildren, Aaron, Anthony, Afton, Taylor, Ethan, William, Josiah, Ollie, Alex, Ashley, Matthew, Josie & Jeremiah;  21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind a sister, Joann Sabel (Bill) a brother, David Dunn (Gloria) both of Missouri; sister-in-law Donna Dunn of Oklahoma, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Alice Dunn; husband of 42 years, Clell F. Harmon; son, George Downing and her brother, Robert Dunn.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM, with the Funeral Service following at 11:30 AM, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A 1 PM burial will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

The family requests any memorial contributions, in honor of Joyce (a cancer survivor), be made to the Hulston Cancer Center, Springfield, Missouri, in lieu of flowers.
