Obituary
Joseph "Dan" Wright, age 65, of Springfield, MO passed away at 1:30 PM on August 31, 2017 in Mercy Hospital.
He was an employee of City Utilities of Springfield for 43 years. He volunteered for many years with Springfield Little Theatre. He was also a member of Pet Therapy of the Ozarks for over 23 years and took great pride in his dogs and their work.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents James and Vida Wright of Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Valeri; his sister Julie and her husband David, with their children Will, Andy and Kate and their families; his brother Steve and his family, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Therapy of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 9462, Springfield, MO 65801.Services
