Joseph Michael Rodgers, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 25, 2026. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Cole, three siblings, four children, and seven grandchildren.

Joe was born in Peekskill, NY, obtained masters degrees in mathematics, and worked in the computer science field. He worked for IBM in NY and ATT in Georgia before moving to Oklahoma to work for Phillips Petroleum.

Joe and Mary Ellen met in Bartlesville, OK, and have been married for 29 years. They have lived in Springfield, MO, which is home to Mary Ellen's family, for the past 14 years.

Joe was a caring, kind, knowledgeable, funny, dedicated, and generous man. He will be missed dearly by his friends and families.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home with a visitation at 10:00 am.  Private family burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
