Joseph Carl (Joey) Parrish, age 54, passed from us on October 22, 2017 in Springfield, MO after an extended illness.  Joe was born September 11, 1963 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, the fourth son of Joseph Pleas and Lavonna (Bonnie) Mae (Westerman) Parrish.

Joe attended school in Heidelberg, Germany, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and Springfield, MO, where he graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1981 as a member of the marching band and track team.  Joe attended college at MSU in Springfield, MO.

Joe met Traci Gere' Puchta in October 1978, and they married October 1987.  Joe and Traci have two children, Brennan Taylor, who was born January 3, 1991 and Connor Joseph, who was born March 11, 1996.

Joe worked in auto finance in Greeley, CO and Springfield, MO and then as a construction manager on nationwide building projects.  As the boss on the job, Joe was the one with a broom in his hands.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie in 2000; brother-in-law Cortney in 2007; father-in-law Jerry Puchta in 2010; brother Larry in 2013 and brother Garry in 2014.

He is survived by his wife Traci (Puchta) Parrish, daughter Brennan, son Connor; father Joseph and his wife Kay Parrish; mother-in-law Carol (Slavens) Puchta; his brother Terry and wife Sheryl (Heatherly) Parrish, their daughters Bailey and Avery; his nephew, brother Garry's son Joshua Shane and wife Lauren (Peters) Parrish and their son, great-nephew Graham Russell; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces from Missouri, Tennessee, Kansas, Iowa, Florida, Texas, California and Ohio and incredible friends from every edge of this world.

Visitation will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO with memorial service starting at 3 PM in the funeral home.
