IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Adams
Fisher
August 2, 1945 – December 25, 2023
Our beloved Joseph "Joe" Adams Fisher, 78, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on the morning of December 25, 2023 at Julia Temple Healthcare in Engelwood, Colorado, where he'd been receiving care.
Joe was born to Joseph and Martha Fisher in Wyoming on August 2, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the time of the Vietnam War.
He worked for a number of years as a Program Specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service.
Joe loved reading and could spend hours browsing in used book stores. He sought books on any and every subject and acquired a substantial collection by the time of his passing.
He will be missed dearly by his family, and former co-workers, who will always remember his kindness and his aberrant sense of humor!
Joe is survived by his wife, Sharon Wright; sons, Joseph B. Fisher and Mathew Fisher; brother, Walter Bixby Fisher; his former wife, Marilyn Peterson; step-children Kristine and Barry Wright; and shared grandchildren, Lauren and Rachel Fisher and Noble Kalish. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Denver. A half-hour viewing will precede.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2023 in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri.
