IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jonathan Grant
Haden
June 29, 1983 – May 18, 2022
Jonathan Grant Haden, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend left this earthly home to join his Heavenly Father on May 18, 2022 surrounded by family. He was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Jon was born on June 29, 1983 to Grant and CeCe Haden. He attended Springfield Public Schools and later completed his undergraduate education at Drury University where he was a devoted Sigma Nu. Jon was active in Boy Scouts as a member of Troop 1, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Jon loved music, the outdoors and spending time with the people he loved. He was an avid hunter and also greatly enjoyed fishing with his father, brother Ben and grandfather Jerry. Many nights were spent watching the sun set over the water at Table Rock Lake or singing and playing guitar on the Buffalo River with friends and family. Jon's passing has left a hole in our hearts, but we know for certain that he is now at peace in the arms of our Lord.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father Grant, grandfather Jerry Lumpe and grandparents Quentin and Irmgard Haden. We know they are all together now – likely laughing and telling stories.
Jon is survived by his mother CeCe Haden; brother Ben and wife Lauren and nieces June & Hallie and nephew Luke; sister Emily Lee and husband Alex; grandmother Vivian Lumpe as well as many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 26 at 11:00am at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, 820 E Cherry St, Springfield, MO. Memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
"You're safely home in the arms of Jesus
Eternal life, our brother's found
The day will come, we know we'll see him
In that sacred place, on that holy ground"
