Obituary

Johnny Leo Moran of Springfield, MO passed away at Spring Valley Care Center Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 80.  Born near Mulhall, OK Aug. 9, 1938 to William (Bill) John and Lena Mae (Tommy) Gilliam Moran who preceded him in death.  John attended school in Cashion and Deer Creek, later working the farm soils in these areas.  This was his first love.  He was also employed at Aero Commander airplane factory, learned tile setting, enjoyed mechanical work and received a certificate from a truck driving school.  His greatest accomplishment in life was in 1982 when he overcame his addiction to alcohol.  He gave God and Alcohol Anonymous credit for this success.  He moved to Springfield in 1992 where he was employed as a security guard until his retirement.

John is survived by his daughter Jana Lee (Mark) Eidson; grandson, Lee and three great-grandsons, William, Luke, Noah and great-granddaughter Whitley.  He is also survived by grandson, Craig Matthew Eidson; granddaughter, Laura Harwell; great-granddaughter Carley and great-grandson Carson. Also surviving John, is his daughter Dorian (Greg) Hara and great- grandson Evan.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Cashion Cemetery in Cashion, Oklahoma.
