John J. Wiechert arrived on this earth on August 23, 1930 born to John and Tina Wiechert in Hendrick, Minnesota.  He left us on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 91 years of age-a life well lived.

He attended elementary school in Osceola, Iowa and graduated from Miller Missouri High School, attended SMS and served in the US Air Force.

John celebrated two retirements, the first from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and 20 plus years later from Greene County where he served as a court bailiff for Judge Dan Conklin.

He married Carole Pohlman on August 9, 1958.  She survives him as well as nephews, Roger Wiechert and Kenny Hewitt; brother-in-law, Roger Pohlman; several great-nieces and nephews including, Ahlyssa Wilson and Aidan Hensley.

John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elsie Hewitt; brother, Howard Wiechert plus three nephews and a niece.

John had a kind gentle caring personality. He loved life, never complained, enjoyed traveling but mostly enjoyed visiting with everyone.

No services are planned at this time.  Graveside services will be at a later date under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, Inc.
