After a long battle with melanoma, John "Bill" William Rush, 68, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2014, in Lakewood, CO, with his wife of 42 years, Tina Rush, and daughter, Kelly Rush, by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Rush, Helen S. Rush and two sisters, Margie Bunker, Mary Candelori. Bill grew up in Springfield, MO where he maintained lifelong friendships. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a Masters in Finance and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. The majority of his professional career was spent in St. Louis, MO as a Risk Management and Insurance Consultant, CPCU, ARM and President of Sierra Risk Services Corporation. Bill and Tina moved to Denver, CO in 1998, where Bill continued to provide outstanding service to his clients, enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family in the great outdoors. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at Hazelwood Cemetery, 1642 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO.
