John Joseph McKearney, 88, of Nixa, MO, passed away at 12:42pm, 11/19/22 in Springfield, MO.

He was born the son of John Joseph McKearney, Sr and Kathryn Foley in Brooklyn, NY.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and SCORE and was an Army Veteran and a graduate of St. John's University and Harvard Business School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lucille McKearney, Maureen O'Conner and Kathleen Bradshaw, late wife, and mother of his children, Jean Ann Hoostal McKearney, daughters, Susan McKearney and Shannon McKearney, son, Sean McKearney.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Teenor McKearney, of the home, son, Timothy McKearney, Las Vegas, NV, and stepdaughter, Stacy Benoit and step-grandson, Adam Benoit of Union Star, MO., and six nephews and a niece on the East coast.

Services will be held at 11:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Springfield, MO, with Fr Charles Peirano celebrant, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY at a later date.
