He started his own business, John's Refrigeration aka John's Heating and Air, in 1966 and served the Springfied area until he retired in 2005, when his two sons took over the business where it continues to thrive today.

He is preceded in death by his oldest grandchild, Tony Cornelius.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lane, his three children: Gregory Lane and his wife Kayla, Suzanne Dulany and her husband Joseph and Timothy Lane Sr.; Eight grandchildren – Meagan Girth & husband Kyle, Stephanie Robb & husband Brett, Samantha Copus & husband Joseph, Timothy Lane Jr., Dalton Lane & wife Aubrianna, Kristi Dulany, Alexandria Friese & husband Ian, and Elizabeth Lane; five great grandchildren – Micheal & Eli Copus, Charlotte & Brooklyn Robb, & Cora Girth; Sister – Peggy Carrington & her son Nathan; Brother – Richard Lane & children Paul, Nicole & Caroline.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Crossway Baptist Church, 2900 N. Barnes, Springfield, MO 65803 at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020 with an open time of fellowship/condolences for family and friends immediately following
