John Albert Jamison, 69 years of age, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 and was born May 7, 1951.
John was proceeded in death by his parents, Theresa Bodde-Jamison and John Willis Jamison; grandparents, Shirley Robb Jamison and John William Jamison and Mabel Whiten Jamison; and one brother Robby Jamison.
He is survived by his daughter, Jami Danielle Jamison; brothers, Bruce Jamison of Shawnee, KS, Ricky Jamison of Eureka, KS, Reggy Jamison of Kansas City, KS, Randy Jamison of Baldwin, KS and Rhett Jamison and Ottawa, KS. John is also survived by his compound family, KBI brothers, and the Sons of the Mulberry; along with 20 nieces and nephews, and two cousins, Wanda Young and Jessie Woods.
John Jamison was raised as a son of a farmer and carpenter. He was a long-time area business owner in Springfield, Missouri. He owned John Jamison Construction company.
Johnny graduated from Lansing High School class of 1969. He then went on and graduated from Pratt Tech College as a mechanical draftsman and was offered a position with Black and Veatch. Johnny chose a career as a Journeyman Roofer. He enlisted in the Kansas National Guard.
John went up in rank, but because of his spirited nature he also went back in rank just as fast in whatever position he held in the National Guard. His superior officers always chose and asked John to fire the mortar in all competitions.
John is loved by many life-long friends, too numerous to count. John Jamison will be overwhelmingly missed.
