John C. Gailey passed away Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at the age of 80.

John grew up in Springfield, MO where his parents, Joe and Beulah Gailey, operated Gailey Drugs pharmacy and breakfast/lunch counter. John was very involved in various sports during his school years and was an accomplished drummer appearing on the Ozark Jubilee. After graduating from Drury College, John relocated to the Kansas City area where he worked many years in the steel sales industry. After retiring, he moved back to Springfield where he met his wife, Judy Sullivan Gailey. John and Judy shared a love of animals and were always willing to take in a stray.

John is survived by his wife, Judy Sullivan Gailey: two daughters, Keri Stoffel (husband Scott) and Stacey Onnen (husband Don); three stepsons, Drew Alexander (wife Elizabeth), Mark Alexander (wife BenBen), and Darren Sullivan; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
