John David Farrar, 76, of Springfield, MO passed away on February 20, 2017.

John was born on May 22, 1940 to Horatio and Maurine Farrar in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Greenwood Laboratory School in 1958 and later received his B.S. from Southwest Missouri State. John married Barbara Faulconer in 1971. From this marriage John had two sons, John Bradley and Christopher Bret. John retired from Forest T. Jones after 38 years as Vice President.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynne Farrar.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara, two sons, John Bradley and wife Kara and Christopher Bret and wife Tricia; grandchildren Gavin, Aiden, Mia, Sami, Liv, and Charli; mother-in-law Patricia Barnes, and many other close friends and family.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Twin Oaks Country Club. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
