John Franklin Brown, age 84, on May 3, 2024 became absent from the body and present with the Lord Jesus Christ.

John was born in Springfield, MO and grew up in Webster County, MO. He was the only child of Franklin Ray Brown and Cora Methella Brown. John graduated from Marshfield High School in 1958.

John attended technical school and was a sheet metal worker, working at several large companies in Springfield and other states.

He was a member of many clubs; the Southwest Missouri Model A Club, the Ozark Antique Car Club, the Ozarks 4-State Chapter of the Antique Trucks, Ozarks Garden Railroad Society and Tuesday Toy Traders.

John was a Godly man who put the Lord and family first. He attended church all of his life, most recently being First Baptist of Battlefield.

John is survived by his dear wife, Jane; his sons Craig Brown (Kim) and Tim Brown (Lora); stepchildren Theresa Kleemann, Susanna Parker (Jimbo), Dan Parker (Kim) and Sarah Pigg (Chris); eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
