John E. Booth age 74, of Springfield, Missouri passed away August 9, 2023 in his home. He was born the son of Merle and Ellalee (Clubb) Booth in Springfield, Missouri.

John was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He also loved playing softball and bowling, as well as, going to the horse races in Arkansas. He loved to go to the St. Louis Cardinals games, watching them on TV or listening on the radio.

John is preceded in death by his sister Linda Sue Booth (Sisy), mother Ellalee Booth (Clubb), and father Merle Booth.

He is survived by his wife Linda Booth (Scott), son James Booth and his wife Melissa and their children Kalen, Baylee, and Madison; daughter Katherine Booth and her husband Jim Atkinson and his daughter Angel.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:30 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Turner Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 3:30 – 4:30 PM in the funeral home.
