Joseph "Joe" Larimore, 65, Republic, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was born April 14, 1956 in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Clyde Leonard and Phyllis Carpenter Larimore. He graduated high school in Lebanon, MO and attended college before joining the U.S. Army. Joe started his love of tool sales with Ball supply company in the early 80's and started at Johnston Industrial Supplies in 1999 and loved working there. He was united in marriage to Debra Larimore in April of 2016 in Springfield. Joe loved his family, gardening and planting with his wife and his best friend Wallace the poodle! If he wasn't at home with family, he was with his work family at Johnston's. Anyone who ever met him was touched by him. He was our man, myth and legend. Thank you for loving him like we did. He attended Wilson Creek Baptist Church of Brookline, MO. He had a very strong Christian faith and was baptized in 2013.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Larimore; father, Clyde Larimore; mother, Phyllis Larimore; brother, Lenny Larimore; and two grandsons, Tallen Davidson and Mason Grey.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Larimore, Republic; daughter, Tara and her husband Josh Springfield; son, Alex Larimore, Lake Wales, FL; daughter, Amanda and husband Aaron, Buffalo, MO, Andrea and significant other Joey, Springfield and Karissa and significant other James, Springfield; son, Eric and his wife Courtney, Kansas City, MO; sisters, Barbara Ray, Dover, AR, Karen Delling, Republic, MO and Christine Larimore Forte, Nixa; grandchildren, Jurnee White, Dalton White, Linkoln Yocum, Madeline Perkins, Brayden, Christian, Brody and Harper Johnson; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ezekiel Manke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with Reverend Allen Reeves officiating. A visitation will follow until 4:00 p.m.
