Joe E. Gibson passed away January 11, 2013 in his home after a long illness. He was born August 3, 1930 in Springfield, MO to Edward and Minnie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a grand-daughter. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of 54 years; three daughters, Robina Denham of TN.; Lana (Mike) Walker, Greta (Bryan) Irick of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Lance) Gott, Christian Farabee, Tiffany Roe, Levi Carter, Derek Irick of Springfield; Kim Patton, LA, Daniel (Tuesday) Denham, U.S. Navy, Shenna (Tim) Cupit, U.S. Air Force, NE and five great-grandchildren. In honor of Joe's request a graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Hazelwood Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
