Joann Nelson, age 70, passed away Wednesday, March 22 following a lengthy illness.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Eva Tunnell and a brother, Ivan.  Survivors include her husband, Larry Nelson, two children, Kevin Smith and Kim Smith both of Springfield, three grandsons, Brandon Smith, Zackary Smith and Justin Smith. JoAnn was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Springfield.  Memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 31st at 11:00 am with a visitation to follow.
