Joan Lucille Lehar, 78, Springfield, Mo, passed away March 5, 2010. Joan was born in Springfield the youngest of five children born to Rudolph Henry Lehar, Sr. and Marie Catherine Lechner. Joan grew up in Springfield, graduating in 1950 from St. Agnes High School. She worked as a secretary for many years and finally retiring from Chrysler Credit. Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rudolph Lehar, Jr.; sister, Helen Criger. Joan is survived by a brother, Eugene Lehar and wife Betty; sister, Dorothy and husband Ike Shaw; nephew, Robert Criger and wife Diana and their children, Jim Criger, Stacy and husband Ian Baird; nephew, Gary Lehar. Joan also leaves behind two neighbors that were like family to her, J.R. Crider and Max Gregg. Her poodle, Rennie, was her constant companion. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 in Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
