Joan (Reaves) Fairchild went to join her heavenly family on June 1, 2015. Joan was born to Earnest and Faye Reaves on July 25, 1928 in Bado, MO. She was baptized in the Little Piney River at the age of 10. Joan was married to Donald Tuck for 25 years. In that union Brenda (Tuck) Kane, Joan's only child was born. Joan later married Dale Fairchild. It was in this union that Joan was blessed to be a step-mother to three children; Pam (Fairchild) Irie, Steven Fairchild, and Kevin Fairchild. Joan was married to Dale for 30 years. Her and Dale were long time, devoted members of Campbell Avenue Methodist Church. Joan enjoyed many things during her long life, especially Lady Bears basketball, playing cards at the Elks Lodge and at Lakewood Village Clubhouse, traveling, her Lunch Bunch, theatre, sewing, and collecting lighthouses. She was an active volunteer for Crosslines and Mercy Seniors. Joan was preceded in death by both her husbands, her parents, and her older brother Raymond Reaves. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda, and her husband Stephen Kane; her granddaughters Heather Kane, and Jillian Kane; step-daughter Pam (Fairchild) Irie and her husband Eric and their two children Roger and wife, Melinda Irie and Riki Irie; step-son Steven Fairchild and his wife, Kathy, and their two children Virginia (Fairchild) Oehlschlager, her husband Matt, and their four children, Kadence, Rylan, Bella, and Mason, and Brett Jackson Fairchild and his wife, Mackenzie; step-son Kevin Fairchild, his wife Julie and their two sons; Donald Fairchild and Clint Fairchild. Also surviving are her sister, Joyce Reaves and brother, Doyle Reaves along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at 10 am in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
