Jo Elaine "Joy" (Smith) Bartlett left this life March 29, 2026. Joy was born to Spider and Juanita Smith on March 4, 1946 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. She is little sister to Van and Kay and big sister to her brother Jon.

Joy had a love and appreciation for the outdoors. Growing up, she treasured her horse Scout. She spent summers at their family cabin on the Jacks Fork River where she loved fishing and canoeing with her friends and family.

Joy and John Bartlett were wed 47 years. John, daughters Kim and Jill and her beloved granddaughter Riley will miss her and her quiet abiding strength. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

True to who she is, she wanted no formal service. Her ashes will be scattered into the Jacks Fork River.
