Jimmy Dow Forrester was born in Ozark, MO at home on Water tower Hill, January 26, 1936, as the 6 o'clock whistle blew.

Youngest son of Hugh Frank and Marie Forrester, brother of Warren Frank, Jim graduated from Ozark High School where he loved being part of the basketball team. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State, where he was a cadet in the ROTC. Jim served in the Army Reserves where he earned the rank of 1st Lieutenant with an additional period of active service.

On September 19, 1959, he married his High School sweetheart, Elizabeth Draper Joslyn. They had a great love in their marriage of 65 years.

Jim worked for Springday and as a buyer for the Quinn Coffee Company in Springfield. His favorite pastime was fishing favorite spots on the Finley River. His grandchildren have fond memories of going fishing with Granddad.

Jim enjoyed caring for his yard and home, reading about history and sharing stories of his growing up years with family. He was proud to be Dad, Granddad and Great-granddad Jim.

Jim is survived by his wife and best friend, Elizabeth and their three daughters; Amy (John) Price, Sarah (Larry) Tilley and Christine (Steve) Drennan, five grandchildren; Andrew (Allison) Tilley, Spencer (Stefany Cambra) Tilley, Nathan Tilley, Joe (Amy) Pfankuch, Carter Pfankuch (fiancée Alicia) and Emma Price.
