Jimmie E. Kroutil, 90, Springfield, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 in his home. He was born July 25, 1925 in Karlin, Missouri, the son of James and Sophie Kroutil. Jimmie was united in marriage to Betty Jo Morris on January 8, 1948. He retired from J&R Body Shop after 35 years of ownership. Jimmie served his Country in the Third Army during World War II.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tony and his loving wife, Betty Jo.
He is survived by his son, Ricky; ex daughter-in-law, Beverly Faucett; two grandsons, Richard (Carrie) Kroutil and Mark Kroutil; and five great-grandchildren, Keegan, Tanner, Gideon, Grant and Chloee Kroutil.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 in St. Agnes Cathedral. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Lewis Hejna, celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Karlin, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri.
