Jimmie Ray Hodges, 82, Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Mercy Hospital.  He was born November 9, 1935 Duenweg, Missouri, the son of Frank and Gladys Hodges.

He started his career with Chrysler Credit, he owned a car dealership and eventually retired after selling insurance with MetLife.

No one cared more for his family than Jim. He devoted his time to helping not just his immediate family but his extended family. He was always humble, always selfless and his quiet presence was an inspiration to all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jenna Louise (Storm) Hodges.

Jimmie is survived by two daughters, Brenda Smith; and Diana Stone and her husband, Mike; two sons, Steven Hodges and his wife, Rhonda; and Todd Hodges; brothers, Kenny Hodges and his wife Judy and Marvin Hodges;
six grandchildren, Cody Prugger and his wife, Sharon, Zachary Hodges and his wife, Colby, Kyle Prugger, Tyler Hodges, Mallory Smith and Amanda Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Hodges, Kaden Hodges, Hannah Hodges and Hayse Winch.

Memorial services will be held Saturday December 9, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with a visitation to be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service time.
