James Edwin Wells, 92, Springfield, MO passed away November 11 ^th , 2021 surrounded by his family at Cox Hospital.  Born December 1, 1928 in Salem, MO, to Goldie Lee Wells and Leah Scott (Quinley) Wells.  A loving husband who married Patricia Louise Wells in 1951, enjoying life together for 70 years.  They raised 5 wonderful girls and enjoyed countless Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and a Great-Great Grandchild.

They enjoyed life to the fullest, after a successful career with the Telephone Company and retiring early, they traveled across the country enjoying all 50 states and Canadian Provinces. James is survived by his wife Patricia, their 5 girls Debbie Wells, Becky Logan, Beth Trucks, Jane Browne, and Susan Miller, siblings David, Dorothy, and Charles and several nieces, nephew, cousins, and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Goldie and Leah Wells and siblings Dale and Donnie Wells.  He was a Veteran of the Army, an avid fisherman, a family Leader, and true friend to many.

Funeral Services will take place at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Tuesday November 16, 2021.  Visitation starting at 10:00 am, service at 11:00, directly followed by burial services. A light lunch and celebration of life following burial services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2852 S Dayton Ave, Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springfield Lutheran School, 2852 S. Dayton Ave., Springfield, MO 65807.
