Jerry Dean
Watson
March 25, 1944 – March 23, 2026
Jerry Dean Watson, 81, of Ozark, MO, passed away March 23, 2026. He was born March 25, 1944 in Thayer, MO to Elvin Clinton Watson and Sarah Lewis Rogers.
He was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church since 2002, where his quiet strength and steady presence reflected his deep-rooted faith.
He graduated from Koshkonong High School as part of the class of 1961 and continued his education at School of the Ozarks for two years, followed by one year at Arkansas State University.
He dedicated 30 years of his career to McDonnell Douglas, where he worked as a Senior Planner - a role he took great pride in and one that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment.
In his younger years, he had a love for sports, especially basketball and baseball, and carried that appreciation throughout his life. He also had a deep enjoyment of caring for horses, spending several years raising and keeping them.
After retirement, Jerry enjoyed staying active in his community, playing in a bowling league and volunteering weekly at First Baptist Church of Kimberling City.
Above all, he treasured time with his family. Whether gathered at home or sharing a meal out to celebrate special occasions, those moments brought him great joy and were among his most cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Watson; children Alicia Jenkins (Darin) and Sonya Watson; grandchildren Savannah Call (Hunter) and Andrew Jenkins; great grandchild, Hudson Call; sister, Anna Jean Davis (James) and multiple nieces and nephews.
