Jerry Robert Spoon, age 80, died on March 25, 2017, in his Willard home, after a long illness. Jerry was born June 5, 1936, to Ralph and Esther Spoon, in Bois D'Arc, MO. He graduated from Bois D'Arc High School in 1954 where he excelled in track and basketball. Jerry married Elaine Taylor on December 2, 1956 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past year. They remained lifelong residents of the Willard area and had four children; Cynthia Benford (Robert) of Waxahachie, TX, Myra Dickensheet (Steve) of Springfield, MO, Jerilene Swafford (Lee) of Caddo Mills, TX, and Tim Spoon (Teri) of Willard, MO. Jerry was blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jerry was a faithful employee of Lily Tulip for 25 years where he worked as a pressman. Jerry was a true son of the Ozarks; he loved to fish, he loved the outdoors, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Mercy Hospice, specifically to Daisy who was the definition of compassion and service during a difficult time.
