Obituary

Jerry Lee O'Quinn, 75, of Nixa, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019, after a long illness. Jerry was born February 4, 1944, in Glendale, CA to Patrick and Pauline (Rambo) O'Quinn. He graduated from Lebanon High School, Lebanon, MO in 1962. In 1984, Jerry followed his dream and opened O'Quinn's Orchids and Water Gardens, where he could be found until his retirement in 2014.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah (Coppage) O'Quinn, his daughter, Heather Collison (Darrell), his son, Shannon O'Quinn (Cady), and was a beloved "Papa" to granddaughter, Olivia O'Quinn, grandson, Liam O'Quinn, and grandson, Tristan Collison. He leaves behind a legion of dear family and friends.

Jerry turned his life's passions into action, serving on the board of many local botanical groups, as well as taking an active role in the Sister Cities Association, and the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll garden. His legacy teaches us to cultivate, and to care for that which is important to us.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held for friends to come and share memories with the family from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Saturday, November 30 th at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
