Jerry Dean Officer, 80, passed away at 2:20 pm on March 4, 2017 in Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. He was born June 13, 1936 to Elvin and Emma Officer and grew up in Conway, MO.

He was united in marriage on June 26, 1959 to Lottie Van Loon. They were married 58 years. He spent 2 years in the Army, 7 years at MKO Bus Line and 20 years at Greyhound Bus Lines. His passions were fishing and hunting.

Jerry is survived by his wife Lottie, a son, Kevin Officer and his wife Kathy, grandsons Tyler and Nicholas, daughter Denise, brother Jim Officer and wife Mary, nephew Doug and niece Ericka.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
