Jerry Lee Hackleman, 66, Springfield, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  He was born June 27, 1951 in Lexington, Missouri.  He was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Lockhart on July 4, 1970.

He was President Emeritus and Chief Estimator (CPE) for 20 years of Dewitt and Assoc., Inc., member of ASPE for 25 years, President and VP of Springfield Contractors Association, board member of and VP for Springfield Chapter of CSI, National Board Member for Certification Board for ASPE, board member for City of Springfield Building Trades Exam and Cert. Board and numerous other professional memberships.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Jean Hackleman in 2008 and his father, Basil Floyd Hackleman in 2016.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Lockhart Hackleman, Springfield; daughter, Amy Lynn Hackleman Cochran and husband, Shawn, Olathe, Kansas; grandson, Xander Aidan Cochran, Olathe, Kansas; and daughter, Sara Ann Hackleman Bucher and husband, Jason, Branson, Missouri.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Siteman-WUSTL-EDU) specifically for Leiomyosarcoma Cancer Research and/or The National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation (Leiomyosarcoma.info).
