IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer J.
Price
October 14, 1970 – April 6, 2023
Jennifer Joanne (Dunlop) Price passed away in her home in Nixa MO April 6, 2023. Jennifer was born October 14, 1970, the youngest (and only girl) of six children born to Jim and Betty Dunlop in Springfield MO.
Jennifer attended Springfield Public Schools and showed her athleticism during middle school by setting the Pershing girls long jump record. She moved into the Glendale district and as fate would have it her backyard adjoined the Price family home. This led to her meeting and ultimately marrying Kirk Price. When Kirk's business took him to Knoxville Tennessee, they lived as "Volunteers" for several years until health issues in the family prompted them to return to Springfield.
Family was very important to Jennifer and she devoted her life to her children. Transportation to soccer practice, matches and tournaments consumed a great deal of her time as Matthew and Jakob were growing up. She was a tremendous supporter of all the programs in which they participated, very seldom missing a practice, game, tournament, or music recital.
Jennifer is survived by husband Kirk Price, her sons Jakob (fiancée Haley) and Matthew, her brother, Stu Dunlop and wife Penny, her brother Jerry Dunlop and wife Debbie, brother-in-Law Terry Price and wife Janet, brother-in-law Don Price, brother-in-law Steve Price and wife Carolyn and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Betty Dunlop, brothers John Dunlop Sr, Jeff Dunlop and Jay Dunlop and infant son Nicholas Price.
A graveside service will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery, 3:00 April 10, 2023 with a celebration of life from 4 pm-6pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E Seminole St, Springfield MO 65804.
Jennifer was unable to avoid the family history of heart disease and she received a heart transplant before she reached age 50. To honor that gift of life, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Transplant, 1001 Highlands Plaza Drive West, Suite 140 St. Louis, MO 63110-1337, www.foundationbarnesjewish.org . Or to honor the many years the family spent with Nixa Soccer a gift can be made to the families' GoFundMe, where all funds raised will benefit the Nixa schools soccer program. https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-loving-memory-of-jennifer-price?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
