IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey Douglas
Grace
December 3, 1981 – September 30, 2020
On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, Jeffrey Douglas Grace passed away at the age of 38 years young, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on December 3, 1981. He was raised in Ocoee, Florida along with his two brothers.
There was never a dull moment growing up with Jason and Jonathan, whether it was on bikes, skateboards or rollerblades, the faster the better! Jeffrey absolutely loved the outdoors his entire life. From nature, to the birds and wildlife, it was such an important part of his art and life.
He was a comic enthusiast from an early age. Jeff would search for the perfect comics as often as possible with his brothers and grandmother.
Jeff started airbrushing at the age of 15 in Ocoee and his love continued when the family moved to Missouri. Where he airbrushed in Springfield, he will be most remembered by his time at Silver Dollar City in Branson.
From the moment Jeff held a crayon, he was an artist. His passion was unbelievable. From a napkin, to a pizza box or a piece of clothing, from pencils to pens and markers, he created art. His art was 100 percent unique to Jeff. From cute to creepy, he was an incredible artist. He was a master with a pen and paper!
Jeff graduated from Parkview High School, Springfield in 2001. Then he attended the Art Institute of Colorado from 2002-2003.
With the family move to Missouri in 1999, our family was blessed with Tyler and then Tayler, whom he absolutely adored and treasured. In 2010, Jeffrey met the love of his life. Together you would see them riding their bicycles all over town. On occasion you would find his faithful companion, Lily by his side while at the parks.
Jeffrey loved watching Seinfeld, he literally could quote any episode at any given moment. To say he was a huge Star Wars fan is an understatement. He could talk about it for hours.
He was known for his quick wit, his smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. Jeff had a passionate heart for everything he did.
With love and passion, Jeff wore a Cardinal on his shoulder for his great-grandma "Gi Gi". She was always with him. His love for her is oh so often found tucked in his artwork, with either a cardinal or weeping willow branch. His absolute favorite was her homemade applesauce.
Jeff officially caught "VW Fever" when he found a blue 1970 Bug with a for sale sign in the window. He was so proud to purchase it and it still remains in the family. Later on he bought a 1967 square back. He would spend endless hours driving Tyler, Shorts, Bandit and Lucy around the cemetery. They definitely enjoyed the ride.
Jeffrey will be lovingly missed by his parents, Jamie and Alan Breslofsky; siblings, Jason (Katrina) Grace, Jonathan Grace, and Tyler and Tayler Breslofsky; grandparents; nieces and nephews; and his fiancé, Bonnie Van Meeteren and her family.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Douglas Grace, grandfathers, Monroe Grace and Pop Roy Springer and his many special great-grandparents.
As the years have progressed, there will be an everlasting memory etched in all our hearts and minds of Jeffrey on his stool at his drawing desk.
