Should there be a derailment and a call came to him at home during the night he was able to provide the assigned destination of any given car number from memory.
In 1977, Jeff transferred to the sales division of Duval and chose Springfield as the central location from which he traveled extensively. After a few years he accepted a position with Bill Barr & Company representing many products used in the preparation of animal feeds. Later Jeff became the CEO and General Manager of a mining firm in SE Kansas where Mag-mica was produced and used in the preparation of animal feeds. Jeff enjoyed working with several Universities on research and development of the magnesium mica product and was fascinated by any possible new uses for it. He retired from Micro-Lite about 10 years ago.
While settling into retirement, Jeff joined Bible Study Fellowship where he enjoyed in-depth Bible study. He also enjoyed being a member of the ShoMe Statesmen Barber Shop Chorus. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
